We treat the webbing and ground-dwelling species, focus on the high-risk spots, and tell you honestly which spiders you actually need to worry about.

How we treat it

Our approach to spiders.

We treat webbing spiders with a residual to the eaves, window frames and fence lines, and dust the voids where they shelter. For redbacks we target the dry harbourage they favour. Ground-dwelling species like funnel-webs are handled around the high-traffic areas of the yard. We point out the high-risk spots so you can keep an eye on them.

Safety: APVMA-registered products, child and pet safe once dry. We pay particular attention to the spots kids and pets reach, sandpits, outdoor furniture, pot plants.

Spiders, common questions.

Which spiders are actually dangerous on the Gold Coast?

Redbacks (common in dry, sheltered spots around the yard) and, less often, funnel-webs in moist ground are the two to take seriously, especially with children and pets. Most webbing spiders are harmless. We’ll tell you which is which rather than treating everything like an emergency.

Will one treatment keep spiders away all year?

A treatment knocks down the population and the residual keeps working for months, but spiders re-colonise from the garden, so an annual or twice-yearly treatment is the realistic cadence on the coast. We give you an honest re-treat date.

Do you remove the webs too?

We treat the spiders and knock down accessible webbing in the treated areas. Old webs in high or awkward spots can take a little time to clear after treatment, but no new ones should appear once the residual is doing its job.

Is the spider treatment safe for my dog or cat?

Yes, once dry. We pay particular attention to the spots pets frequent, along fence lines, under outdoor furniture, around pot plants and near kennels. Baits and dusts go into voids and crevices pets cannot reach. We tell you when the treated areas are safe to re-enter.
